Isaac M. O'Bannon is the Senior Technology Editor and digital content manager for The CPA Technology Advisor, having joined the publication in June 2002.

Through his experience in the areas of consumer and professional-level software and peripherals, as well as knowledge of the public accounting field, O'Bannon provides reviews of technologies used by accountants and their business clients. Through his monthly column, Tricks & Tips, he also provides readers with information ranging from improving search techniques, when to upgrade a computer and computing security issues.

Prior to The CPA Technology Advisor, Isaac provided public relations counsel while at agencies in San Francisco, Denver, Kansas City and Tulsa, with clients including Logitech, Polycom, Hilti, Microsoft, the Stanford Research Institute, the University of Oklahoma's College of Engineering and other technology leaders.

O'Bannon also served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee Equipment Operator from 1990 to 1995, having deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Okinawa, Japan; Puerto Rico; and other locations, attaining non-commissioned officer rank. Following his military service, Isaac received undergraduate and graduate journalism degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
